Wishing to do something to help relieve the suffering of children in Haiti ? Yes, you can do something! Let it not remain wishful thinking but see how you could initiate any of the following:
Are you a member of a prayer group or would like to start one in your church?
Prepare a presentation about the Kizito Family and all commit to praying regularly, as well as contributing a gift as a group or individually.
Here’s an idea!
For your own birthday party, or a child’s or grandchild’s, set up a ‘one gift for me, one more for Haiti’. Even a $5 donation can go a long way for the children in Haiti.
Someone you love is about to be married?
Propose to the guests that a gift be offered so a mother in Haiti who has been forced to leave her home due to gang violence and sleeps on the streets can instead rent a house at 100 $ USD for the year and start a small business. What a way to honor the newly married couple!
Throwing a dinner party for family and friends?
Suggest to your guests that all contribute to the feeding of an additional ‘guest’ at the party. 30$ USD gives a child in Haiti a meal each day for one month, or $8 for a daily meal for the week!
Are you a member of a parish committee?
Prepare a little presentation about the Kizito Family from information you have learned on our website or from contacting us directly! Each listener can commit to prayer and offer a gift as a group or individually.
A party is the perfect opportunity to celebrate while also helping a child in need. Upon request, we'll mail you a kit with pre-designed invitations for any occasion as well as informational pamphlets and donation instructions.
Educate the children of your community on the work of the Kizito Family and ask them for ideas on offering support to the children in Haiti. It is amazing what children can accomplish and how many lives they can change by their generous spirit!
